Leaving Paradise
I’m heading back to Massachusetts today. Ask me how sad I am… VERY! My grandmother just made breakfast sandwiches for a house full of people. So good! We had venison sausage left over from my grandfather’s last deer kill last winter. Caitlin is planning on sneaking one more monster turkey sandwich before we pack up and leave this afternoon. The sandwich will be a comfort if we get caught in the snow that’s being forecasted mid-afternoon.
Tomorrow is the beginning of December; the month of family, travel, debt stress and weight gain. All good stuff. I’m happy that my family and friends are generally doing well and are healthy and I’m hoping the best for those who aren’t doing well and need a little help or inspiration. Maybe my new year’s resolution will be to act more compassionate and giving (I wonder if I’m not enough already).
