Down With the SICKNESS!
Boy, did one hell of a head cold come over me this weekend. I think it all started on Friday when I was forced to come into the office because my computer died on me. The initial annoyance of my work at home being ruined made me a little flustered, but after about 3 hours at my desk the light headedness and soar throat came on strong. Friday night I went home feeling really sick and I went to bed quite early and got a lot of sleep.
The next day I didn’t feel good still, but figured I’d rough it out and get some exercise. So I went on a long walk on the local bike path for about an hour. Then I posted up at a cafe downtown and finished my editorial and drank about 5 large cups of tea. I went to bed early that night as well.
Yesterday was the worse. Full body aches, fever, burning and itchy throat. I was miserable. Spending the day at Caitlin’s house was tough, but I made it through. Didn’t get so much sleep last night but I awoke without a sore throat, which was quite nice. I guess I’m fighting off whatever I have because my congestion level is through the roof, but at least I’m coughing and hacking at whatever is inside me. I tend to trust my body and don’t push it too much.
Hopefully tomorrow this thing will be kicked so I can be back to my normal self, whatever that means.
