Too Far Gone is our Economy and Society

Published by farandsavage at 10:03 am under Uncategorized Edit This

As some of you may have read in my other blog http://notsoliteral.blogspot.com I managed to screw up my registration paperwork and will not be voting in the presidential election. I’m not too happy about that, to be honest and I know I don’t have many excuses for letting this happen, but I’ll get over it.

This morning I thought about the nature of America currently and where I think we’re heading collectively as a nation. Neither candidate, in my eyes, currently holds the leadership capacity to take the United States into the future with a new type of economy and a more peaceful national and domestic policy. I feel these choices lie in the people. I was a huge supporter of Obama in the beginning, but seeing as I cannot vote now I won’t talk much about either candidate until they are elected and start making decisions. Let the cards fall where they may.

As for each and every one of us, regardless of whether your candidate of choice wins, what are you going to do and how are you going to change your life in the next four years? The president cannot change the country, only it’s people can truly make that change. Let’s not forget that we’re electing one of these men. They are not to be kings.
